Aida was part of the founding team of Citymart in 2011 and as a Partner today carries full business responsibility with a range of global partner cities such as Barcelona, the Greater London Authority, the City of Eindhoven, the City of Antofagasta and organizations such as the Laboratorio de Gobierno (Government of Chile). Initially responsible for developing partnerships with cities, Aida successfully built a partnering programme that formed the basis of today’s track record of over 50 partner cities opening their problems through over 100 challenges with Citymart.
Aida trained as an architect in Barcelona at the Polytechnic University of Barcelona and London at Greenwich University and obtained a Masters in Housing and Urbanism at the Architectural Association. She has developed research and practice around alternative models of urban strategies, with an interest in urban innovation environments.
Prior to joining Citymart, Aida worked for Living Labs Global, a non-profit association promoting service innovation in cities. Her previous work includes work at international architecture and planning offices, including Rogers, Stirk, Harbour & Partners in London, and Interlace-Invent ApS, in Copenhagen and Barcelona where she led different projects on sustainable territorial development, innovation as well as talent attraction services for cities.
Aida co-authored the book “Connected Cities: Your 256 Billion Euro Dividend” with Sascha Haselmayer, published by the Royal College of Art / Design London and the University of Barcelona (Spanish Edition) in 2010.
