I’m thinking about making Thursdays all about short videos related to urban observations and inspiration. Here’s the first go. First up -- A Bus Stop Coffee Table, by Julie Kim. Julie is a designer and architect who decided that the 15-20 minutes people spend waiting at bus stops are valuable moments that could be used to help connect communities. She set up a coffee table in front of a bus stop in Koreatown in LA.

Rob Goodspeed, Crowdsourcing Planning. I met Rob at a tech and planning conference at MIT this spring. He was subsequently named to Planetizen’s Leading Thinkers in Technology and Urban Planning. This is a video of his Pecha Kucha talk, 7-minute lightening talks about a particular theme.
